We are all about encouraging people to get outdoors and that is exactly why we started our free group hikes! They are a perfect way to meet other like-minded hikers both aspiring and experienced, as well as discovering amazing, accessible walks that you can enjoy whilst we guide you along the way! Sunday 4TH October Alport Castles
When: Meet at 9:30am, set off at 10am
Where:
Meet in Fairholmes Car Park, DERWENT, Hope Valley, S330AQ *please be aware, signal is poor so leave yourself plenty of time*
Difficulty: Classed as 'Moderate', circa 8 miles.
Route: Circular route, along Derwent Dam, gradual incline through Birchinlee Pasture, across Rowlee Pasture with optional scramble of 'The Tower' or break then back down through Nabs wood.
What to bring: waterproof gear, spare socks, snacks/lunch to sustain you until circa 2pm, at least 2 litres of water, £1 min contribution for Mountain Rescue (can pay by card).
Dogs: Well-behaved dogs are allowed but must be on leads.
